Water-Energy Nexus Sponsors Young Scholar Awards

The First International Symposium on the Water-Energy Nexus was held on the 29th and 30th of December, 2017 at South China University of Technology in Guangzhou, China.
The symposium aimed to foster discussions on the latest research in the field among researchers, educators and students. Experts from China and South Korea were invited to share their knowledge and experience, and 17 outstanding students gave presentations about their recent research.
KeAi was delighted to sponsor the Young Scholar Award on behalf of their new journal Water-Energy Nexus. Three distinguished students, who presented at the symposium, received the award. Professor Hyunook Kim from the University of Seoul and Editor-in-Chief of Water-Energy Nexus, commented: “We are very pleased to be able to recognize the academic performance and dedication of these students. Water-Energy Nexus is an important topic that impacts our lives and those of future generations”.
During the symposium Professor Hyunook Kim and the Associate Editor of Water-Energy Nexus, Professor Haifeng Jia from Tsinghua University, gave an overview of developments in the field and provided students with guidance on writing a good academic paper.
KeAi’s Community Engagement Manager, Jingwen Wang, gave a brief introduction to KeAi and the benefits of submitting a manuscript to Water-Energy Nexus. The open access journal will publish its first issue in March 2018 and will waive article processing charges until the end of 2018.
