About NSFC
NSFC is one of the world's largest funding agencies for fundamental research, and undoubtedly, the largest funding body for basic research in China, both in terms of the number of grants offered and total budget. Since its founding, NSFC has been closely linked with several breakthroughs in fundamental research. The large number of scientists participating in NSFC programs is likely to make FR one of the most widely read journals in the world, which in turn will facilitate the sharing of fundamental research being conducted in China not only with the local scientists but also with global researchers. As the volume of fundamental research in China increases, the scientific community publishes progressively more research results, which makes the need for a high-profile journal apparent.
