Collaborate to Excel – How Successful Partnerships Drive Research and Innovation

This year marks KeAi’s 5th anniversary as publisher of high quality Open Access journals. In celebration of the anniversary and on the occasion of the official launch of the trans disciplinary journal Global Transitions a symposium was held in Beijing on the 1st of November 2018: “Collaborate to Excel – How Successful Partnerships Drive Research and Innovation”
After the opening remarks by Mr. Peng Lin (President of CSPM) and Mr. YS Chi (Chairman of Elsevier/Director RELX Corporate Affairs and Asia Strategy) Academician Prof. Wei Yang (Former President of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Chair of Scopus China Academic Board), Ms. Anne Kitson (Managing Director of Cell Press), Prof. Guangwen Xu (President of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology and Editor-in-Chief of Carbon Resources Conversion), Prof. Yonglong Lu (Former President of the Bureau of International Cooperation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Co-Director of the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) and Prof. Jin Chen (Director of the Research Center for Technological Innovation of Tsinghua University and Co-Editor-in-Chief of Global Transitions) delivered inspiring key note presentations, sharing their views on innovation and collaboration on various institutional and individual levels. The symposium was attended by Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Directors of the more than 50 journals that KeAi publishes, university leadership and senior management of KeAi's parent companies CSPM and Elsevier.
The symposium was closed with a ceremony to launch KeAi's latest trans-disciplinary journal Global Transitions.
