Underground Space will implement double-anonymized peer review from Jan. 1, 2025
Published 07 October, 2024
Dear authors and scholars,
Underground Space will implement a double-anonymized peer review for all the manuscripts submitted to the journal from Jan. 1, 2025. This is intended to further enhance the fairness and objectivity of academic publishing and reduce the impact of biases with respect to gender, race, affiliation, and so on, on the review process.
Double-anonymized review process means that author identities are concealed from reviewers and vice versa. To facilitate this process, authors are required to provide a title page (including author details) and an anonymized manuscript (excluding author details) separately during submissions.
The title page should include the following:
- Article title
- Author name(s)
- Affiliation(s)
- Acknowledgements
- Declaration of interest statement
- Corresponding author’s address (full address is required)
- Corresponding author’s email address
The anonymized manuscript should contain the main body of the submitted manuscript, including
- References
- Figures
- Tables
With this change, Underground Space looks forward to building a first-class academic exchange platform with greater fairness and inclusivity. We welcome your submissions.
Best regards,
Editorial Office of Underground Space
