Yingzi Zhu, Director of the Department of Finance at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University, Distinguished Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Director of the FDT Financial Innovation Laboratory, Director of the Quantitative Investment Laboratory, Director of the Financial Engineering Laboratory, Deputy Editor in Chief of the Journal of Economic. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Modern Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1991, a PhD from New York University in 1997, a Master's degree in Business Administration from Stern School of Business at New York University in 2002, and worked at Citigroup (New York) from 1997 to 2003, serving as the head of Risk Management and Quantitative Research. In 2003, she joined the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University and led the National Natural Science Foundation General Program, Tsinghua University Independent Research Program, and Tsinghua University Undergraduate Teaching Reform Program. She has published over 20 papers in top international journals such as Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, as well as Chinese core journals. She served formerly as an editorial board member for journals such as Investment Research, Operations Research and Management, and China Securities and Futures. She has taught courses on investment and financial engineering MOOC for undergraduate, MBA, and EDP students at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University, and has won multiple awards for excellent teaching achievements. Her main research areas include asset pricing theory and empirical evidence, macro finance, risk management, machine learning and quantitative investment, etc.
