He gave lectures at the National Emergency Management Conference of the State Council and at the collective learning conference of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
The main research fields are: risk assessment, monitoring, prediction and early warning, decision support, theory and technology of emergency management and their integration; fire dynamics evolution and prevention technology.
It has won the first prize and the second prize of national scientific and technological progress once, twice, nine first, second and third prizes of provincial and ministerial scientific and technological achievements, one first and second prizes of national teaching achievements, 12 authorized invention patents, including one gold prize of Chinese patent, the golden bull prize of advanced workers for the tenth and twentieth anniversaries of the National Key Laboratory Program, four provincial and ministerial excellent teachers'prizes, and the National May 1 Labor Medal.
Publishing 10 academic works, English edition Monographs in the United States, Japan, Britain, France and other countries.
