Dr. Hong Liu earned her PhD degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, USA, and currently serves as a professor at the School of Labor and Human Resources, Renmin University of China. She is also recognized as a "Distinguished Scholar" (Youth Scholar A) at Renmin University of China and has been honored with inclusion in both the Ministry of Education's New Century Excellent Talents Support Program and Beijing's Municipal Universities Youth Talent Plan. Her primary research areas encompass social protection, health economics, labor economics, and applied microeconometrics. Her recent studies concentrate on significant societal transformations and policy implementations related to population aging, social security, healthcare systems, elderly welfare, human capital, employment, and fertility. Her research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Development Economics , Journal of Health Economics , Social Science & Medicine , Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization , Journal of Comparative Economics , Journal of Population Economics , Health Economics , and China Economic Review . Additionally, she has led several projects as the principal investigator funded by the National Natural Science Foundation.
