The Journal of Pipeline Science and Engineering special issue on technology for future and ageing pipelines (TFAP) conference is now online. Eight papers selected through a thorough evaluation process with authors primarily from North American and European countries such as the USA, Canada, Germany and the UK have been published. The selected papers cover the current hot topics in the field of oil & gas storage and transportation. Among them, three papers focus on hydrogen pipelines, two on pipeline fractures, another two on pipeline welding, and one on pipeline metallurgy.
The TFAP conference is the largest pipeline conference focusing on academic and technological research and development in Europe. The Conference 2022 was held in Ghent, Belgium and attracted more than 350 delegates from over 30 countries around the world. It hosted the first symposium on hydrogen pipeline technology in cooperation with the European pipeline research committee. Journal of Pipeline Science and Engineering was invited to be an official media partner and to publish a special issue for the conference. Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Professor Yufeng Cheng, was also invited to give a special report.
Founded less than two years ago, the journal already has been indexed in DOAJ and Scopus. The application procedure for being included in SCI has begun. The journal shows a strong development momentum and a promising future.
