Journal of Industrial Safety (JINSE) publishes original and innovative research in all areas of industrial safety science, engineering, and technology. It aims to provide an international exchange forum to bridge the gap between researchers and industry and accelerate the transition of R & D efforts to the workplace.
JINSE is a multi-disciplinary journal that encompasses multiple industries including but not limited to mining & processing, construction, manufacturing, and environmental safety. It welcomes high-quality, critical state-of-the-art reviews, accident investigations, case studies, and scholarly contributions on occupational safety and health, safety regulations & policy, and safety risk assessment.
Papers of common interest to multiple industries are also welcome, such as

accident preventive measures

Shandong University of Science and Technology (SDUST), founded in 1951, is a multidisciplinary institution specializing in engineering while also offering programs in science, management, literature, law, economics, and education. It is a key university in Shandong Province, dedicated to cultivating highly skilled professionals with practical expertise.
SDUST operates three campuses in Qingdao, Tai’an, and Jinan, covering a total area of over 233 hectares with a building space of 1.56 million square meters. The university hosts 10 postdoctoral research centers, 11 first-tier disciplines authorized to confer doctoral degrees, one professional doctoral program, 33 first-tier master’s programs, 22 professional master’s programs, and 72 undergraduate programs. Mining Engineering is designated as a national key discipline under construction, while Safety Science and Engineering and Control Science and Engineering have been selected for Shandong Province’s “811 First-Class Discipline Development Project.” Several disciplines, including Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Earth Science, Computer Science, and Environmental/Ecological Sciences, rank in the top 1% globally in ESI, with Engineering and Mathematics further reaching the top 1‰.
SDUST has a strong emphasis on independent innovation. It houses a national key laboratory, a state key lab base jointly established by Shandong Province and the Ministry of Education, two state-local joint engineering centers, one national engineering laboratory, and 130 ministerial- and city-level laboratories and research centers.
Since the 13th Five-Year Plan, SDUST has undertaken 850 national research projects and 1,440 provincial and ministerial projects. The university has received 430 research awards at or above the provincial and ministerial levels, including two second prizes for National Science and Technology Progress and two second prizes for National Technological Invention. It has also been granted 3,280 national invention patents.
SDUST maintains partnerships with 130 universities and research institutions across 28 countries and regions. It has been selected for China’s “University Discipline Innovation and Talent Introduction Program.” Additionally, one Sino-foreign joint education institution and three joint education programs, approved by the Ministry of Education, currently enroll over 2,000 students. More than 580 international students from over 60 countries pursue degree programs or short-term studies at SDUST.
