Celebrating the launch of Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity

The Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity was launched at a ceremony held on 28 July 2018 in Beijing. Hosted by the Editors-in-Chief, Prof. Jian-guo Xu, Chinese Academy of Engineering and Prof. Zhi-ming Yuan, Wuhan Branch, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the event was attended by more than 20 international editorial board members and invited authors.
In their opening speeches, Prof. Jian-guo Xu emphasized that the collaborative new journal would help to bring this relatively new branch of sciences to a global stage and Prof. Zhi-ming Yuan talked of the advantages of being an open access journal and the ability of the Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity to widely disseminate published research.
The opening speeches by the editors and representatives from KeAi, were followed by an opportunity for all invited authors to present their manuscripts on different research areas of biosafety and biosecurity.
We look forward to seeing the exciting new research published in the journal.
