Dr. Jian-Jun Yang is a Full Professor and Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology, Pain, and Perioperative Medicine at The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China. He has extensive international experience, having served as a Senior Visitor at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, USA, in November 2017, and as a Senior Visiting Scholar at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Massachusetts, USA, from December 2014 to February 2015. Additionally, Dr. Yang has held visiting scholar positions at the University of Virginia and Shands Hospital, University of Florida. He completed his postdoctoral training in the Department of Anesthesiology at Jinling Hospital in Nanjing, China. Dr. Yang holds an M.D. from Nanjing University and a Bachelor of Medicine degree from Xuzhou Medical College.
Dr. Yang is a leader in the field of anesthesiology and pain management. He serves as a Standing Committee Member of the Chinese Society of Anesthesiology, Executive Director of the Chinese Society of Precision Medicine, and Vice President of the Anesthesiology Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society, among other roles. He is also the Chief Editor of the Journal of Anesthesia and Translational Medicine and an editorial member for 22 peer-reviewed journals. In addition, he reviews for 134 academic journals, demonstrating his widespread influence in the field.
Dr. Yang's research interests focus on pain management and perioperative brain function protection. He has published over 600 papers in Chinese and English, covering anesthesiology, neuroscience, psychiatry, pain medicine, and critical care medicine. His work has made a significant impact on these fields, and his leadership in academic publishing further strengthens his position as a key figure in the scientific community.
