Prof. Artemi Cerdà Appointed as Editorial Board Member of International Soil and Water Conservation Research

We are honored to announce the appointment of Prof. Artemi Cerdà as an Editorial Board Member of the journal International Soil and Water Conservation Research (ISWCR).

Prof. Cerdà is a renowned researcher and leader of the Soil Erosion and Degradation Research Group at the Universitat de València, Spain, with expertise in soil erosion processes, sustainable land management, and soil conservation. His pioneering work integrates field experiments, with direct measurements with plots and rainfall simulators. He developes collaborations in Australia, USA, Bolivia, Cuba, Israel, Iran, China and in Europe, with special attention to Mediterranean and Semiarid type-ecosystems.
Active in global collaborations, Prof. Cerdà engages with initiatives such as the European Union Soil Observatory (EUSO) and serves as a key advisor for international projects focused on sustainable agriculture and erosion risk assessment. Professor Cerdà is involved in International, national and local research projects. He has authored more than 400 peer-reviewed publications, including seminal studies in Catena, Journal of Environmental Management, Nature and Pirineos, and co-edited influential volumes on soil conservation, both books and peer-review journals. The research of professor Cerdà focus on pure science from his earlies studies in the 80’ and moved from forest to agriculture land, and from pure to applied science. Today, the social, economic and perception approaches are relevant within the traditional biophysical research of Dr Cerdà.
In his role as Editorial Board Member, Prof. Cerdà will strengthen ISWCR’s commitment to publishing high-impact research by guiding manuscript reviews, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, and promoting innovative solutions for soil and water conservation. His deep expertise in bridging science, technology, and policy aligns seamlessly with the journal’s mission to drive global environmental resilience.
