Editorial board meeting of IJTST 2023

The annual meeting of International Journal of Transportation Science and Technology (IJTST) was held at the Marquis Marriott Hotel Mount Vernon Square (M3) Room in Washington D.C. during the Transportation Research Board (TRB) 102nd Annual Meeting on January 10, 2023.
Zoom option was provided for participants to join the meeting virtually. The meeting was attended by the editors-in-chief, associate editors and members of the editorial board, together with other staff members. Professor Wang Zhongren, a founder of IJTST and senior member of the American Association of Transportation Engineers, presided over the meeting.
Professor Ling Jianming, Dean of College of Transportation Engineering of Tongji University, thanked everyone for their efforts and contributions to IJTST in the past year. He affirmed the college’s dedication and continued unwavering support for the development of IJTST.
Professor Cheu Ruey Long, editor-in-chief of IJTST, reported on the development of the journal such as impact factor and articles quality, as well as provided detailed analyses of the number of papers published, the numbers of downloads and citations, and the acceptance rate of articles.
Professor Li Hui, an associate editor at IJTST, presented the applications of IJTST for SCI/EI, and CN number, as well as the support for IJTST from Tongji University.
An award ceremony was also held at the meeting. The editorial board congratulated and thanked the winners of the Outstanding Associate Editor Award, Outstanding Reviewer Award and Most Cited Article Award. Prof Cheu presented the award certificates to the award winners onsite.
Professor Ma Wanjing, Chairman of Council of College of Transportation Engineering of Tongji University, expressed his sincere gratitude to former editor-in-chief Prof Cheu for his strong leadership and hard work for the development of IJTST over the years, and encouraged him to continue supportting IJTST. On behalf of Tongji University, Prof Ma announced that Professor Fan Wei from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, USA, has assumed the role of editor-in-chief of IJTST since January 2023.
IJTST will continue to improve its publication quality and its comprehensive impact on the transportation engineering discipline, as well as focus on cutting-edge transportation science and technology, frontier theories and technologies in smart transportation system and sustainable development. IJTST strives to become a first-class journal in the transportation field, and to significantly contribute to the continued development of traffic and transportation science.
