Call for Editorial Board Members: International Journal of Geoheritage and Parks

The International Journal of Geoheritage and Parks is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal committed to advancing high-quality research in geoheritage and parks across various dimensions. These include management, assessment, planning, policies, education, tourism, economics, museology, protection, ecology, biological conservation, and sustainable development.

The journal is currently ranked Q1 in the fields of (i) Geography, Planning and Development (#96/821), (ii) Geology (#43/321), and (iii) Nature and Landscape Conservation (#29/211). To cater to the rapidly increasing number of submissions, we are seeking new editorial board members with the backgrounds of (i) Biological conservation in geoheritage and parks, (ii) Geological conservation in geoheritage and parks, (iii) Cultural and social aspects of geoheritage and parks, (iv) Management and planning of geoheritage and parks, or (v) Education and tourism in geoheritage and parks.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Academic Background: Preferred candidates should have a PhD in fields relevant to geoheritage and parks, such as geology, ecology, environmental science, nature conservation, cultural heritage, tourism, economics, or museology.
  • Demonstrated Publishing Experience: Preferred candidates should have a robust publication record in reputable, peer-reviewed journals and a history of contributing to the academic community through research, reviews, and editorial work.
  • Commitment to Excellence: Preferred candidates should be dedicated to maintaining high standards of scientific rigor, ethical practices, and scholarly excellence. They should be willing to engage actively in the review process and contribute to the journal’s strategic direction.
  • Global Perspective: We seek candidates who can bring diverse viewpoints and insights to enhance our international scope and impact. Given the journal’s interdisciplinary nature, we encourage applications from researchers with interests spanning multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate manuscripts submitted to the journal.
  • Participate in editorial board meeting.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the journal.
  • Promote the journal within the academic community.
