Special Issue on CFD in Nuclear Reactor Safety Analysis and Design
Published 04 March, 2021
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is increasingly adopted in nuclear reactor safety (NRS) analysis and design to highlight detailed, safety-relevant phenomena occurring in the reactor coolant system. This special issue presents recent high-quality articles related to CFD model development and applications in NRS analysis and design. It also provides a forum for scientists and engineers to exchange information and share latest progress in improving the application of CFD in the nuclear engineering field.
Topics Covered:
- Two-phase CFD model development
- Multi-scale and coupling multi-physics coupling with CFD
- LES and DNS
- Best Practice Guidelines (BPGs)
- Porous medium model application
- Key components and phenomena simulation using the CFD method
- CFD model validation against experiments
- Turbulent model development for the liquid metal
Important Deadlines:
- Submission deadline: 1 September 2021
