Author Workshop at Anna University, Chennai, India

An author workshop on article publication in high-quality international journals took place alongside the Asia-Pacific Coastal Aquifer Management Meeting (APCAMM) held at Anna University Chennai, on the 11th December 2019. The workshop was conducted by KeAi Publishing and Dr. Elango Lakshmanan, Head of Geology Department.
The workshop began with an introductory presentation by Ms. Chitra Krishnamoorthy, Associate Publisher at KeAi Publishing. The presentation covered the work that KeAi Publishing has undertaken in the Open Access Journals space, how the publishing landscape originated and has evolved with time, and publishing ethics, including: the impact of plagiarism, importance of peer review, roles and duties of editors, reviewers and publishers. In all, it gave a holistic view of the present day's publishing landscape.
Following Chitra’s presentation, Dr. Elango Lakshmanan lead an informative session for researchers on how to write high-quality academics papers. The workshop concluded with an engaging Q and A session. Several workshop participants requested that workshops were conducted regularly, as they provide important guidance to help them get published and an opportunity to build their networks at the same time.
