Professor Jianji Wang received his MSc at Wuhan University (China), and Ph.D. at Yokohama National University (Japan). He worked as a research fellow at University College London (1987?1989) and University of Surrey (1992-1993), UK. He became a professor of physical Chemistry at Henan Normal University in 1994, and the Founding Director of the Key Laboratory of Green Chemical Media and Reactions, Ministry of Education, at Henan Normal University in 2009.
His current research interests are centered in structure?property relationship of green solvent systems (such as ionic liquids, deep eutectic solvents, and aqueous two-phase systems) and their applications in green separation, CO2 capture/conversion, and biomass processing. He has authored more than 400 papers in peer-reviewed journals and coauthored 4 books. The papers have been cited more than 18,000 times by other researchers.
Currently, he is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK). He serves as the chairman of Thermodynamics and Thermal Analysis Committee of Chinese Chemical Society, and vice chairman of Ionic Liquids Committee of Chinese Chemical Engineering Society.
