Global Energy Interconnection will hold the 2024 GEI Academic Annual Conference

Published 24 June, 2024

Accelerating the construction of new-type power system is an important approach to promote energy transformation and achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals. The proportion of clean energy such as wind energy and solar energy in primary energy continues to increase. Large-scale, long-distance new energy transmission coexists with various forms of power grids such as microgrids. Multiple entities such as distributed power supplies, energy storage, and flexible loads are connected in power system with large numbers. The structure and form of the new-type power system with "double high" characteristics are undergoing systematic changes. Power system, as a resource distribution platform and energy conversion hub, improving its' ability to accept, allocate and regulate clean energy, and support the large-scale development of clean energy, high-proportion consumption and widespread access of new loads has been the focus of academic and industry fields in recent years, that owns important theoretical significance and application value.

In order to promote and demonstrate the latest progress in the field and facilitate the sharing and exchange of the academic and technical achievements, the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) plans to hold the 2024 Global Energy Interconnection (GEI) Academic Annual Conference in Xian, Shaanxi in late September. The conference calls for paper in the theme of "New-type power system oriented AC and DC power transmission, and digital and intelligent transformation of generation, grid, load and storage". The latest achievements in theoretical research and technical applications will be discussed in the conference. Experts, scholars and researchers are sincerely welcomed to actively submit papers. The deadline for submission is August 31, 2024.

After the submitted manuscript passes the review process, it will be selected into the collection of papers of the2024 GEI Academic Annual Conference. The corresponding author will be invited to participate in the conference as well. More, the outstanding papers will be selected, and rewarded at the conference, which will be further recommended for publication in the official Global Energy Interconnection journal.

The Global Energy Interconnection journal does not charge any fees such as publication fees, review fees, etc. Accepted manuscripts will receive generous royalties. It should be highlighted that the Global Energy Interconnection has been indexed in ESCI, EI, Scopus, The Core Sci&Tech Journal of China, CSCD, Inspec, DOAJ, Elsvier ScienceDirect, CNKI, Wanfang Data, Superstar Journals Database, and CSTJ. All published papers are publicly available through multiple international channels.
