2020 Global Energy Interconnection (Asia) Conference

Over the past five years, with continued support and unwavering efforts from all parties, major breakthrough has been achieved in the development of Global Energy Interconnection (GEI). It has been incorporated into frameworks such as the UN 2030 Agenda for sustainable development, the implementation of the Paris Agreement, global environmental governance, and the construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative, contributing to the world sustainable development.
Asia is one of the regions with the most exceptional development vitality and enormous growth potentials, and a crucial region for the development of GEI. In a bid to deepen energy and power cooperation in Asia and accelerate the development of GEI, 2020 Global Energy Interconnection (Asia) Conference will be convened in Beijing (China World Hotel) from November 1st to 4th, 2020. Exchanges and seminars will be organized focusing on clean development and energy transition in Asia, energy interconnection and open cooperation, energy transition and carbon neutrality, investment and financing for renewable energy, with a number of research reports expected to be released.
The conference will consist of plenary meeting, thematic forums, side events, technical lectures and exhibitions, which will provide an important platform for all parties to exchange views, coordinate and cooperate, and showcase profiles. The event will have about 800 guests from relevant governments, international organizations, universities and research institutions, enterprises and financial institutions.
