Exploring deep earth, deep sea and deep space via advanced geophysical equipment

Published 17 October, 2024

Introduction:

This issue will spotlight advancements in geophysical equipment and its wide-ranging applications, including gravity measurement, frequency measurement, engineering survey, seismological measurement, electrical measurement, magnetic measurement, spectrum measurement, and various applications in exploring deep earth, deep sea and deep space.

For over two decades, CGT workshops have catalyzed discussions on various geophysical technologies, culminating in the development of numerous advanced geophysical instruments, significantly broadening the application scope for geodesy and geodynamic.

We invite contributions from scientists worldwide. By gathering diverse expertise, this special issue aims to promote geophysical technology, contributing to the fields of geodesy and geodynamics. Stay tuned for submission guidelines to join us in unraveling the complexities in deep earth, deep sea and deep space.

Topics covered:

Geodesy and Geodynamics has emerged as a leading open-access journals in the geodetic and geodynamic fields. This special issue, “Exploring deep earth, deep sea and deep space via advanced geophysical equipment”, welcomes contributions from all areas related to advanced geophysical equipment and its typical applications, focusing on the following topics (including but not limited to):

  • Gravity measurement and applications (satellite gravity, airborne gravity, shipborne gravity, ground gravity, etc.)
  • Time and frequency measurement (relativistic geodesy, optical clock, rotational seismology, etc.)
  • Engineering survey and its intelligent perception (large-scale engineering survey, resource exploration, deformation monitoring, etc.)
  • Application of geophysical exploration (seismological, electrical, magnetic, spectrum measurement, etc.)

Important Deadlines:

  • Submission deadline: June 30, 2025.
