In Memoriam: Dr. Mike Mentis, Forest Ecosystems Board Member

We mourn the loss of our esteemed and beloved colleague Mike Mentis. Dr. Mentis, a well known South African Environmental Consultant and former Professor and Director of the Resource Ecology Group at the University of Witwatersrand, joined the Forest Ecosystems Editorial Board in 2014. His contribution as Associate Editor and Author has been instrumental for achieving the high impact and ranking of Forest Ecosystems. We will remember Mike Mentis as a dedicated scientist, a gifted writer, a competent problem solver, and a dear friend.
