Current Molecular Pharmacology is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to publishing the latest advancements in cellular and molecular pharmacology. It emphasizes the mechanisms of action of novel drugs under development, innovative pharmacological technologies, and the application of genomics, proteomics, and metabonomics to drug action. Additionally, the journal explores how the study of drug actions at the cellular and molecular level provides insights into normal biological functions, fostering a deeper understanding of both therapeutic interventions and fundamental biological processes.

This journal contains four sections:

Section A (Mechanism of Action of Novel Drugs): This section focuses on understanding the mechanisms by which novel drugs under development exert their effects, covering molecular targets, pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic studies, structure-activity relationships (SAR), and preclinical and clinical insights into drug mechanisms.

Section B (Innovative Pharmacological Technologies): This section highlights advances in pharmacological technologies and methodologies, including high-throughput screening, drug delivery systems, nanotechnology, computational pharmacology, AI-driven drug discovery, and novel experimental models for drug testing.

Section C (Cell Signaling and Transduction Pathways): This section explores the analysis of cellular signaling and transduction pathways relevant to drug action, including key pathways, receptor-ligand interactions, cross-talk between pathways, and pharmacological modulation of signaling networks.

Section D (Omics Applications in Pharmacology): This section focuses on the integration of genomics, proteomics, and metabonomics in understanding drug action, covering pharmacogenomics, proteomic profiling of drug responses, metabonomic studies of drug metabolism and toxicity, and multi-omics approaches to drug discovery.

Section E (Drug Actions and Biological Functions): This section examines how drug actions at the cellular and molecular level illuminate normal biological functions, including drug-induced modulation of physiological processes, insights into disease mechanisms, and translational research linking molecular pharmacology to clinical outcomes.
