Prof. Heemin Kang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering with joint appointment in the College of Medicine and Director of Dynamic Nanobioengineering Laboratory accessible at www.dynamicnano.org at Korea University, Seoul, South Korea. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at Stanford University and UC San Diego, respectively. His research group seeks to design novel biomolecular and organic/inorganic nanomaterials with complex structures remotely controllable by magnetic field, light, in situ self-assembly for immunoengineering, stem cell engineering, regenerative therapy, cancer therapy, and diagnostic imaging, antibacterial/antiviral materials, and environment-friendly recyclable materials. He has published over 150 papers and received a number of awards, such as Young Scientist Award, Materials Innovation Young Researcher Award, and Phi Biomed Young Researcher Award.
