Here is the interview we did with him
1. Could you briefly introduce your current research field?
As an Academic my main areas of interest are represented by Endodontics, implantology and oral surgery, prosthetics and in recent years also collaborations with other Researchers for stem cell analysis and their possible applications in Dentistry.
2. What obstacles or difficulties have you encountered in your research work? How did you overcome these difficulties?
Clinical research requires ethics committees that are sometimes complex to obtain and time, while results are requested very quickly. Only good planning allows interesting results and valid research.
3. What attracted you to join the BAM editorial Board team?
The desire for growth of the Journal, the interest in common themes that have attracted me greatly with recent publications that I particularly appreciated and esteemed.
4. What are your expectations for the future development of Bioactive Materials and its promotion of related fields?
Of course Bioactive Materials represent the future of different branches, and I am sure that not only in dentistry, but in medicine in general, these associated with regenerative techniques represent the future of care.
5. What is your greatest hobby outside of scientific work?
I love the sea so much, I try to go there often, in my free time I try to find a pleasant escape far from the rhythms of the city, in a relaxing atmosphere.
6. How do you balance scientific research work and personal life?
It is difficult, the birth of a child significantly changes the importance of some things, and requires finding more time by sacrificing a little.
7. What do you think is the most important quality for researchers?
The desire to continue learning, extreme curiosity towards topics even distant from the most similar one, which allow cross-thoughts that represent an added value.
8. What advice do you have for young scholars who are determined to engage in scientific research?
To continue to have the same passion also in the years to come, to always consider that everything we do, if ordered, well planned and programmed and correctly executed will surely bring results!
