This forum offers an opportunity for participants to interact with the Editors in Chief from Bioactive Materials, a prominent publication specializing in the fields of the entire range of bioactive materials that have been specifically and functionally engineered or designed in term of either their physical form (e.g. particulate, fibre, etc.), topology (e.g. porosity, surface roughness, etc.) or dimensions (i.e. macro to nano scales). The editors will provide a brief overview of three key aspects of the journal: 1) its scopes and aims, 2) the peer review process and policy, and 3) the latest statistics related to peer review and citation. Afterwards, all participants can ask their questions to the editors regarding the manuscript submission procedures and the subsequent review process. Thus, this session has the potential to address several significant challenges and misunderstandings that may arise during the review process of Bioactive Materials. Additionally, it can enhance the effective communication between the editorial team and the authors who contribute to the journal.

Bioactive Materials also sponsored the Best Student Oral Award. The conference will grant this award to a student or PhD student presenting her/his research work per oral as presenting author during the CESB 2024 conference.
