Editor-in-Chief of Avian Research Professor Fumin Lei elected as Chair of the Asian Ornithological Alliance (AOA)

At the 2^nd Asian Ornithological Conference (AOC) held in Beijing International National Conference Center from November 14-17, 2024, Dr. Sandi Willows-Munro, secretary of the International Ornithologists’ Union (IOU) announced the establishment of the Asian Ornithological Alliance (AOA). Professor Fumin Lei from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences has been elected as Chair of AOA.

Prof Lei has been serving in the editorial board of Avian Research as Executive Editor-in-Chief and Editor-in-Chief since 2018 and 2020, respectively, and in 2022, assumed the role of President of IOU.
