The Asian Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology (AJSEP) aims to promote understanding and enhancement of sport and exercise psychology research and practice around the world. We are particularly interested in research that is conducted in, or is relevant to the 60+ countries in Asia and the Pacific region. AJSEP publishes scholarly reports that advance our understanding of human behaviour in relation to physical activity, human movement, exercise, and sport.
The areas covered include, but are not limited to:
Social psychology
Clinical psychology
Developmental psychology
Experimental psychology
Neuropsychology
Psychobiology
Personality
The journal's Editors and Editorial Board encourage researchers and scholars worldwide to submit their work for publication. Innovative applications, cultural and cross-cultural research, and the position statements of regional or international organizations are particularly welcome.
Manuscripts should present results from high-quality empirical research, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, papers related to professional issues, commentaries concerning already published AJSEP papers, or topics of general interest to AJSEP readers.
The journal targets researchers as well as practitioners in the area of sport, exercise, physical education, health, sport psychology, and exercise psychology. AJSEP is the official journal of the Asian South-Pacific Association of Sport Psychology (ASPASP). For more information about ASPASP, please visit https://aspasp.org/.
