Research Direction: tissue repair materials based on polyphenol chemistry and their biological effects.
Achievements: Chaoming Xie, a professor at the College of Medicine, Southwest Jiaotong University, is recognized as a distinguished young scholar in Sichuan and a specially appointed expert under the Sichuan Provincial Thousand Talents Plan. He has been listed for three consecutive years among the "Top 2% Scientists" by Stanford University and Elsevier. He obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University in 2016 and conducted postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Germany from 2016 to 2018. His research focuses on tissue repair materials based on polyphenol chemistry and their biological effects, with over 40 publications in international journals such as Nature Communications, Science Advances, Matter, Advanced Functional Materials, and ACS Nano. He is a member of various committees within the Chinese Society for Biomaterials and the Chinese Society for Biomedical Engineering.
