Achievements: Yang Lei holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Tsinghua University, a Ph.D. from Brown University in the United States, and a Master's in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management. He has led prestigious projects such as the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the Excellent Young Scholars Program, and the Overseas Talent Program by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee. Over the past five years, he has published over 50 papers in renowned journals like Nature Biomedical Engineering and Materials Today. He has authored two English monographs published by Elsevier. He has filed over 30 Chinese invention patents (with 13 granted) and has two U.S. invention patents granted. He has received accolades such as the UK Royal Academy of Engineering's Innovative Leadership Talent Award, the SICOT Basic Research Award (awarded to one person globally each year) from the International Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, the second place in the National China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector, and the SFB Doctoral Award from the Society for Biomaterials in the United States.
