Introduction: Dr Rhiannon Patten is an early career researcher at the Institute for Health and Sport, Victoria University and an accredited exercise physiologist. Her primary research explores the impact of exercise intensity for improving metabolic, reproductive and mental health outcomes in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Rhiannon is particularly interested in the impact of high-intensity exercise for promoting health benefits and improving quality of life in clinical populations, particularly in women's health and cardiometabolic conditions. Her work and research findings have contributed to the recent update of the exercise recommendations for women with PCOS.
