Introduction: I am an Immunologist and Translational Exercise Scientist. I have extensive experience in characterizing immune function and inflammation in populations including old age, cancer, arthritis, and diabetes. Specifically, my lab assesses immune cells such as T cells, neutrophils, NK cells, and monocytes in relation to disease activity. I am mainly focused on understanding the mechanisms by which exercise training (both acute and regular) can modify the immune system and how these relate to physiological measures and disease processes.
