Philippe Poizot
Professor of Chemistry, Nantes University
Philippe Poizot obtained his PhD degree in Materials Science (2001) at the University of Picardy Jules Verne in Amiens, France. He joined Switzer’s group (University of Missouri-Rolla, USA) in 2001 as postdoctoral fellow. He is currently a Full Professor of Chemistry at Nantes University. His current research topics are mainly focused on rechargeable batteries, molecular electrochemistry and the development of organic batteries working in both aqueous and non-aqueous electrolytes including anion-ion & cation-ion rechargeable devices and solid-state-electrolytes. He is a recipient of the Bronze Medal of the French Society for Encouragement and Progress, Junior member of the French IUF, and an author of more than 100 technical journal papers in top journals such as Nature, Nature Materials, JACS, Energy and Environmental Science, etc., and co-inventor of 11 patents.
