Linyi Qian received his Ph.D. in Insurance and Actuarial Science from East China Normal University (ECNU). He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at ECNU, as well as the Assistant Dean of the School of Statistics and Head of Insurance Department. He has served as a visiting scholar at Hong Kong University, Wayne State University, and the National University of Singapore. His research focuses on probability theory, mathematical statistics, insurance, and actuarial science. He was elected as a Shanghai Shuguang Scholar, and has won several awards, including the third prize of the Shanghai Swiss Reinsurance Actuarial Science Award, the second prize of the 11th National Statistical Research Outstanding Achievement Award, and the third prize of the Shanghai Natural Science Award. He has published over 50 academic papers, and served as the principal investigator of many national, provincial and ministerial projects.
