Special Issue: Restoration of threatened plant species and their habitats

The major motivation for this special issue of Plant Diversity entitled “Restoration of threatened plant species and their habitats” is that conservation of still existing biodiversity cannot rely solely on passive area protection. To stop the ongoing environmental degradation and species loss, conservation must employ active interventions, focusing either on recovery of particular plant species and populations, or restoration of entire ecosystems. The papers in this issue will present methodological reviews of in situ interventions as a part of either threatened species population management or restoration of their habitat, and the case studies implementing such interventions. The major audience for this special issue are in situ plant conservation practitioners.

All manuscripts should be submitted through the paper submission system and will be subject to rigorous peer review. The accepted papers will be published by Plant Diversity (ISSN: 2468-2659), a peer-reviewed open access journal that can ensure the widest dissemination of your published work, and all publication costs will be covered by Plant Diversity.
