Dr. Zhen Yu is a professor at the School of Ecology and Applied Meteorology, Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology. His research program applies remote sensing and ecological modeling to investigate the impacts of climate change and human disturbances on ecosystem services, encompassing areas such as land use and land cover change, greenhouse gas emissions, forest ecosystem health, crop production, climate change, and human disturbances/management. He received the 2019 IUFRO Outstanding Doctoral Research Award, the 2018 Modelling Complex Ecological Dynamics Award for Innovative Contributions to Ecological Modelling, and the 2017 Outstanding Young Scholars Award at the 12th International Congress of Ecology.
