Zehao Shen is a professor of ecology, College of Urban and Environmental Science, Peking University. His research fields include landscape ecology, phytogeography and vegetation science. Most researches are related to the biodiversity patterns and mechanisms, patterns and dynamics of forest fires in the subtropic regions of China, forest landscape fragmentation and ecological impacts. Authored and co-authored about 200 peer-reviewed journal papers, conference papers, and book chapters, including 80 papers in SCI journals. Serve as an editorial board member in Annals of American Association of Geographers, Forest Ecosystems, Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution, and Philosophic Transactions in the Royal Society B.
