Yulong Yin presents at the Chinese Animal Feed Science and Technology in the Next 20 Years Forum

Academic and Editor-in-Chief of Animal Nutrition Yulong Yin presented at “NFC · 2016 First Beijing Forum - Chinese Animal Feed Science and Technology in the Next 20 Years”, March, 2016.
Animal husbandry in China has developed rapidly and entered a new historical period in the past 10 years, resulting in the significant increase of livestock production. Over the next 20 years, the animal husbandry and feed industry will face “new challenges, new opportunities, and a new future”. How we can solve major problems in the area by using innovative technologies is key to the sustainable development of the industry.
For this reason, “NFC · 2016 First Beijing Forum - Chinese Animal Feed Science and Technology in the Next 20 Years” was held in the Beijing Sunshine International Convention Center on March 29th - 31st, 2016. The Forum, with the theme of “Heading for the future - Big biological technology and intelligent animal husbandry”, was organized by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Feed Institute and the Beijing Feed Industry Association.
Academic and Editor-in-Chief of Animal Nutrition Yulong Yin presented The new features of amino acids and regulation on the lipid metabolism and energy balance at the forum. In addition Dr. Thomas Kaufmann, livestock and poultry environmental control specialist from Germany, discussed Effective means to improve the environmental footprint of swine and poultry production which will form the basis of an upcoming review article in Animal Nutrition.
During the 3 days forum, many Chinese Academics and prestigious international experts discussed about the future direction of animal feed science and technology improvement. The forum provided solutions to existing questions and will help set the direction for the future development of animal husbandry in China.

近10年，中国畜牧业发展迅速，畜产品产能大幅提升，畜牧业发展进入新的历史时期。在未来20年，畜牧饲料业将面临“新挑战，新机遇，新未来”。如何创造性运用新科技解决当前所面临的重大问题，是行业可持续发展的抓手和关键所在。
鉴于此，“NFC·2016首届北京论坛－中国畜牧饲料科技未来20年”于2016年3月29-31日在北京阳光国际会议中心举办。本次论坛的主题是：走向未来——大生物技术与智能畜牧业。此次论坛由中国农业科学院饲料研究所和北京市饲料工业协会主办。
Animal Nutrition期刊主编印遇龙院士在会上作了题为《氨基酸新功能及其对脂质代谢和能量平衡的调控》的重要报告。另外，德国畜禽环境控制专家Dr. Thomas Kaufmann的报告《Effective means to improve the environmental footprint of swine and poultry production》对改善猪和家禽生产中环境问题的有效途径进行了探讨，同时，Dr. Thomas Kaufmann将在此报告的基础上整理一篇综述文章投稿到Animal Nutrition发表。
在此次论坛中，国内多位院士和国内外知名专家共同深入探讨了未来畜牧饲料科技的发展导向，破解迷局，将为我国畜牧业未来发展指明方向。
