Special Issue on Methods for the Discovery and Validation of Cancer Biomarkers
Published 13 May, 2021
Cancers are the second most common cause of death worldwide. In 2020, there were over 19 million new cancer cases and more than 10 million cancer deaths. From advancing our understanding of the disease to improving care for cancer patients, cancer biomarkers are playing an important role.
For this special issue, we will consider original research papers, technical notes, clinical trials, perspectives, key paper evaluations and full and mini-reviews that focus on the current techniques, protocols, reagents, databases, statistical approaches and/or software programs. We are interested in papers that explore how these elements are contributing to the discovery and validation of cancer biomarkers for prevention, diagnosis (including sub-categorisation of the disease), prognosis or therapeutic responses. We also welcome reviews on both a single target analysis or high-throughput omics analysis.
