Introduction: Klaus Lange graduated in medicine and psychology and pursued postgraduate training in basic, cognitive and clinical neurosciences. He taught these subjects at German universities and at King's College London, United Kingdom. Since 1997, he is Professor of Health Research and Neuropsychology at the University of Regensburg, Germany. He was Visiting Professor at the University of Vienna, Austria, and at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan. His current research interests are the role of lifestyle, physical activity, food, nutrition and environment in mental health and disease as well as global health issues related to the prevention of chronic diseases. He is President of the International Movement and Nutrition Society and serves on the editorial boards of several international academic journals. He has organized numerous international conferences and has published some 400 scientific articles and chapters.
